Kakia Lagada Gorge

The wild beauty of the island!
This is the largest canyon in Kythira and is located north and west of the island. The route along the gorge is difficult and requires mountaineering skills. The end of the great canyon of Paleochora is the very small beach of Kakia Lagada. The rainwater forms a small pond that retains its water until spring, creating a combination of a wonderful natural landscape.
Camping and campfires are strictly prohibited in the area.
