Gerakari forest

The forest of Kythira!

In the north of the island, after the traditional village of Karavas, we find the picturesque village of Gerakari, where the largest wooded area in Kythira is located. It extends on the north-west side of the island and consists of pines, eucalyptus and local bushy vegetation that in many cases reaches the sea. Camping and bonfires are not allowed in Gerakaris.
