Diakofti

Picturesque village Diakofti!
It is located west of Kythira. It is coastal and is the main port of the island with connections from Piraeus, Crete, Gytheio and Neapoli in Laconia. It has a calm beach with fine sand, and traditional houses built along it. A few years ago, just outside the port, a Russian ship was wrecked and there it remained half-submerged on dry land, where today it is an attraction. In Diakofti there are tourist accommodation units, cafes and restaurants.
