Fu costruito dai veneziani in pi\u00f9 epoche a partire dal XIII secolo e poi gran parte nel 1503. Al suo interno, tra l&#8217;altro, si trovano la grande cisterna con cupole e archi, le case signorili a due piani, il posto di comando che oggi ospita l&#8217;Archivio Storico di Kythira, la chiesa di Panagia Myrtidiotissa del XVI secolo.
