Negli ultimi anni ha conosciuto il maggior sviluppo di tutti i villaggi di Kythira, ed \u00e8 uno dei pi\u00f9 grandi centri commerciali dell&#8217;isola. Nel villaggio ci sono diverse case tradizionali e diverse con influenze neoclassiche. Ad una distanza di circa un chilometro, nell&#8217;insediamento di Kato Livadi, si trova Katouni, che \u00e8 il pi\u00f9 grande ponte di pietra della Grecia ed \u00e8 stato costruito durante l&#8217;occupazione britannica.
